Newsletter

The newsletter is curated by the editorial team under Chefredaktör Thomas Weber, and the publication is owned and operated by Rhein Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number 132410, Companies House Gibraltar) at Suite 5.03, World Trade Center, 6 Bayside Road, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA. Every article and newsletter edition is reviewed by a human editor before publication, and the company’s full ownership and funding structure is disclosed on our ownership and funding page.

Thomas Weber (anders.lindqvist@blickindex.de, +46 8 525 030 61) is ultimately responsible for editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. The daily newsroom is led by Redaktionschef Anna Müller (karin.bergstrom@blickindex.de, +46 8 525 030 62), who oversees commissioning and headline review. All named writers, editors and fact-checkers are listed on our team page, and every piece published in the newsletter is attributed to a specific journalist.

What does the Blickindex briefing contain?

Each briefing delivers essential Swedish news, political and economic analysis, cultural context, and practical explainers tailored for readers in Sweden and internationally. The content covers riksdagen, regeringen, kommunpolitik, markets, household finances, lifestyle and society, presented without spin or oversimplification.

Every article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked by Laura Hoffmann, Ansvarig för faktagranskning (emma.sandberg@blickindex.de, +46 8 525 030 66), before inclusion. The newsletter also includes curated links to deeper analyses on the site, original interviews and explanatory features that help readers understand complex Swedish issues.

How often is the newsletter sent?

The main briefing is sent daily on weekdays, with special editions covering major events, election results, budget announcements or breaking stories. Subscribers receive one concise email per day, usually in the morning, containing the top stories and a curated selection of longer reads.

Special editions are sent ad hoc when editorial judgement deems an issue important enough to warrant an extra update. These are clearly labelled as such and never exceed one additional email per event. Frequency may be reduced during Swedish public holidays or midsummer period.
