Blickindex (blickindex.de) is an independent Swedish digital news publisher owned and operated by Rhein Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number 132410, Companies House Gibraltar). The registered office is Suite 5.03, World Trade Center, 6 Bayside Road, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA. Editorial responsibility rests with Chefredaktör Thomas Weber, who oversees all publication decisions, corrections and compliance with our editorial policy. We operate with full transparency about who owns us, who leads our newsroom and how we fund our journalism.
What we rely on day to day
Our reporting is built on primary sources, verified documents, direct interviews and on-the-ground observation. We do not publish speculation or unverified claims, and every article must trace its factual basis to an identifiable origin.
Journalists in our team use official records from Swedish government agencies (Riksdagen, Regeringskansliet, Statistiska centralbyrån), public registers and court rulings. We also draw on reputable international organisations, academic studies and data published by recognised research institutes. When a source is not publicly available, we explain why it is credible and how we obtained it.
We maintain a strict separation between editorial content and commercial relationships. Funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content (clearly labelled), newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. Digital tools, including AI-assisted research, editing, formatting, translation and metadata generation, may support our journalists. However, all published editorial content is reviewed and approved by a human editor. AI is never used to fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines or expert profiles. Our AI and automation policy sets out the boundaries clearly.
Every article is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and checked by a dedicated fact‑checker before publication. Our fact‑checking team, led by Laura Hoffmann (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), follows a documented process of source verification, cross‑referencing and correction tracking. How to challenge our reporting
If you believe we have made an error, omitted important context or published something that does not meet our standards, you can challenge it directly and we will investigate promptly. We take every correction request seriously.

State clearly which article you are referring to, provide the exact point you believe is inaccurate, and include any supporting evidence (links, documents, recordings). For complaints that go beyond a single factual error—such as systemic bias, conflicts of interest or breaches of editorial guidelines—please use our complaints procedure. This sets out a formal two‑stage process: an internal review by the Chefredaktör, followed by an independent adjudication. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within five working days and to resolve them within four weeks.
Our fact‑checking team also welcomes information that might help us improve our coverage. If you have a tip about a potential error in a published piece, or if you are a source who believes your information was misrepresented, contact factcheck@blickindex.de. We will verify the claim and, if warranted, issue a correction, clarification or update in accordance with our fact‑checking policy.
We publish all significant corrections and clarifications on the article itself, with a note explaining what was changed and why. A log of past corrections is available on request. Readers who prefer to remain anonymous can still submit challenges; we will protect their identity unless they give explicit consent to be named.
Our commitments
- We will always identify our sources clearly, or explain why we cannot, and we will never fabricate quotes, data or bylines.
- We will correct errors promptly and transparently, with a visible correction notice on the article and a record of the change.
- We will keep editorial decisions independent of commercial, political or personal interests, and clearly label sponsored or affiliate content.
- We will protect the confidentiality of whistleblowers, sources and tipsters who request anonymity, in line with our privacy policy.
- We will publish and maintain a clear set of editorial, corrections, fact‑checking and complaints policies, and review them at least annually to ensure they reflect best practice.
