Who is responsible for this publication?
Blickindex (blickindex.de) is owned and operated by Rhein Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number 132410, Companies House Gibraltar), with registered office at Suite 5.03, World Trade Center, 6 Bayside Road, Gibraltar, GX11 1AA. The editorial team is led by Chefredaktör Thomas Weber (anders.lindqvist@blickindex.de), who bears final responsibility for editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections. Full ownership and funding details are available on the ownership and funding page.
Rhein Media Ltd. was founded in 2024 and publishes Blickindex as an independent Swedish digital news publisher. The site delivers clear, practical coverage of Swedish news, politics, economics, culture and society for readers in Sweden and internationally. All editorial decisions are made independently of any commercial or political influence.
How does our editorial process work?
Every article published by Blickindex is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by a senior editor and fact-checked before publication. This three-stage process ensures accuracy, clarity and adherence to our editorial standards. The newsroom is managed by Anna Müller, Redaktionschef, who oversees daily assignments, headline reviews and commissioning.
Our editorial team includes specialist reporters: Markus Schneider (Politikredaktör) covers the Riksdag, government and municipal politics; Julia Fischer (Wirtschaftreporter) reports on economics, markets and household finance; Stefan Becker (Kultur- och samhällsredaktör) handles culture, lifestyle and society; and Laura Hoffmann is responsible for fact-checking and source verification. Each piece is subject to at least one round of editorial review before publication. For more detail on our sources and standards, see Sources & Standards.
How do we distinguish news, opinion, features, sponsored and affiliate content?
Blickindex clearly labels every piece of content according to its type: news articles, opinion pieces, features, sponsored content and affiliate links are all identified at the point of reading. Sponsored or commercial material is marked with a prominent disclosure, and affiliate links are accompanied by a statement explaining the commercial relationship. Opinion pieces are attributed to the author and carry a label stating that they reflect the writer’s view, not necessarily that of the publication.
Our sponsored content policy and advertising and affiliate disclosure provide full details of how such material is produced and labelled. Readers can always distinguish editorial content from commercial messaging because the label appears at the top of the article and, where relevant, in the text. No commercial relationship ever determines editorial conclusions or the placement of content.
How do we ensure article-level transparency?
Every article on Blickindex displays the author’s name, the date of publication and, where applicable, the date of any significant update. Corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the article with a clear explanation of what changed and why. We maintain a separate corrections policy and a fact-checking policy that govern these disclosures.
If an article is corrected substantively, we add a correction notice and, in serious cases, publish a separate correction note on the article page. Readers can also report potential errors via our complaints route, which is detailed below. Our team of fact-checkers, led by Laura Hoffmann, reviews all articles before publication and is available to verify claims post-publication.
How do we maintain independence?
Blickindex operates with full editorial independence. Commercial relationships — including display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing — never influence our editorial judgements. All such relationships are disclosed transparently on our ownership and funding page and our advertising and affiliate disclosure page.
Rhein Media Ltd. does not accept funding that comes with conditions on editorial content. No advertiser, sponsor or partner has the right to review, approve or veto any editorial material before publication. Our editorial team, led by Thomas Weber, retains sole authority over all news decisions, headlines and story selection.
How do we use artificial intelligence?
Blickindex may use AI-assisted tools to support research, drafting, editing, formatting, translation, metadata generation, headline options, summaries and transcription. However, all published editorial content is reviewed and approved by a human editor. AI must never fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. A full statement of our approach is available on the AI and automation policy page.
Any use of AI in the editorial process is disclosed in the relevant article metadata or footer. The final responsibility for accuracy and fairness rests with the named author and the editor who approves the piece. Readers who suspect AI-generated errors or fabricated information can raise a complaint via the procedure below.
How can readers verify our writers and editors?
Every article carries the name of the writer who produced it, and contact details for each editorial team member are published on the Our Team page. The Chefredaktör, Thomas Weber, and the Redaktionschef, Anna Müller, can be reached directly via email addresses listed on that page. By providing named bylines and contact information, we enable readers to verify credentials and ask questions about individual articles.
Our team profiles include professional backgrounds and areas of expertise. We do not publish content under anonymous bylines except in rare cases where security concerns justify it, and that fact is disclosed. The editorial policy requires that every writer’s identity is known to the newsroom and verifiable by the publisher.
How can readers raise a complaint?
Readers who wish to report an error, raise a concern about editorial standards, or file a formal complaint should contact the editorial team via the complaints email: complaints@blickindex.de. Alternatively, the general contact email info@blickindex.de can be used, and complaints will be forwarded to the appropriate person. Full details of our complaints procedure, including timelines and escalation, are available on the complaints procedure page.
Laura Hoffmann, Ansvarig för faktagranskning, handles fact-related complaints, while Thomas Weber, Chefredaktör, is responsible for all other editorial complaints. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two working days and to provide a substantive response within ten working days. All complaints are logged and reviewed to improve our processes.
